International Space Station Maintenance Ongoing

Two US astronauts worked in space for over seven hours working on repairs on the international space station far above Earth in preparation for new international space labs to be loaded onto the station. The successful repair work was on the station's starboard solar wing array which is used for power demands on the facility. Plans are in place for three shuttle missions in the coming months to get the new space labs placed into the structure for future scientific studies and research.

It is truly unfortunate more media and press coverage is not given to these hardwarking dedicated specialists going into space and performing seemingly death-defying actions and deeds that are nothing short of miraculous to those who bound to the ground here on the planet below. This would be wonderful and exciting, particularly for children, and it would fuel the imagination of these youths.
