On the surface, this plan looks outstanding. I still support Michigan US Representative John Conyers' legislation: HR 676 - The United States National Health Insurance Act, which is in process in the US House and now has eighty-eight cosponsors. Depending on what happens with the November elections, Conyers' legislation may reach the floor of the House for for the full body's consideration sometime in late 2009, and if the numbers are right in the US Senate, may even have a chance to be enacted and signed by the president, if the president is Obama. You can expect a lot of changes in the bill as it moves forward as a lot of horsetrading by the politicans everywhere will take place on such a monumental critical public policy legislative bill. The Center for American Progress offers some alternatives to consider for inclusion into the final bill. National health care and universal insurance are being strongly urged by medical professionals everywhere.http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2005/03/progressive_prescriptions.html
