Universal Health Care on the level of a state is an enormous endeavor that promises to be costly. Colorado has had a panel of experts studying the issue and determining if one of five proposals is best. While this is a lofty and noble pursuit, one has to wonder if a program that truly does cover all citizens within the state can be made a reality at a cost that is affordable for all (and free for the poor, disadvantaged, handicapped, and elderly). Politcos in Colorado and states across the nation have a huge challenge ahead of them, but hopefully a federal single payer plan will be enacted in the next eighteen months. The state proposal that looks best for Coloradoans is the Colorado Health Services Plan.http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/feb/01/hagedorn-no-state-mandates-coming-on-issue-of/
