European Union Sets the Globes New Example for Prosperity, Progressivism, Environmentalism, Compassion, and Success

The 21st century's model for leading society in the future can be found in Europe with the success of the European Union (EU). With most of the continent now part of the Union, prosperity, economic development and security, environmental responsiblity and technological advances, and compassion and assistance for the poorer and disadvantaged members of society are the hallmarks of this part of the world. This is the economic model that offers the greatest opportunities for success and economic justice on the planet in the history of mankind for the current generation and future generations of people and the global ecosystems. Seven additional European nations - Croatia, Macedonia, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia - are likely to become part of the EU in coming years, and four nations that are not part of the formal EU structure - Lichtenstein, Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland -- have agreed to many of the EU economic structue and regulations. And perhaps someday soon, some additional nations that were once part of the old USSR may join the Union -- such as Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, and even Russia.
